Youth Involvement
I believe that it takes a village to raise a child. As an educator, I am concerned about our young people. I want to engage our young people in the community. It has been proven that when our young people are engaged and active it deters crime. Just like in the classroom, we have to keep our young people involved to ensure success.

​​Economic Development
​I believe that we need to make Jackson more business friendly. We need to sell Jackson in a positive light and promote our city. Small businesses have always been the backbone of Ward 4. I want to ensure that small business owners have an opportunity to establish and maintain operations. This endeavor will also bring in jobs and bring a sense of belonging to our ward. Every measure should be used, including grants.


Active Representation
As councilman, it will be my job to actively and comprehensively represent Ward 4 from Northside Drive to Raymond Road. The services you receive should equate to the taxes you pay. I pledge to be a hands on servant who will be accountable, accessible, and active and represent the people of Ward 4. Representation through empowerment and engagement is what i am about.
Crime

Criminals look for breaks in the chain and they strike. Criminals do not shop where they sense a strong sense of community. We should take our neighborhoods back. Form block clubs and join neighborhood associations. Form working relationships with officers and together we can deter crime in our communities.

​Infrastructure
A city must have a strong infrastructure to sustain any sense of development. People do not want to drive on streets full of potholes to shop and go to work. People do not want to walk through inches of water because of clogged pipes and ditches that have not been cleaned. I propose that Jackson develops a Infrastructure Department that will complete a comprehensive study of the infrastructure in each area and improve and maintain it.
Establishment of Neighborhood Coalition
I want to build a neighborhood coalition to ensure we are building stronger communities together. The neighborhood coalition would consists of representatives from each neighborhood and they would meet with the councilman and discuss, plan, and implement solutions to issues that effect us as a community. To do this, establishing an active association in each neighborhood is essential. Engaging people in the process is just one part in making the dream work through teamwork. My vison for Ward 4 is stronger communities.
