A MESSAGE  FROM DERRICK TRIMBLE​

 I'm a lifelong resident of Ward 4 here in Jackson. I was born and raised in Northwest Hills Terrace. It is there where I received a neighborhood based upbrining and developed commitment to my COMMUNITY. I graduated from Provine High School and Jackson State University. I am a member of Capitol Street Church of Christ. I teach at Lanier High School and coach baseball as well. I enjoy challenging young minds in our COMMUNITY and ensuring a better future.​

 I want to be the councilman for Ward 4 because I am concerned about my COMMUNITY. I feel that a COMMUNITY is only as strong as the weakest link and I want to link all aspects of our neighborhoods together to build a stronger COMMUNITY. As an educator, I believe that teamwork makes the dream work. We need to take ownership of our neighborhoods. I want to engage everyone in the process of working to make our neighborhoods strong.​

I want to be your "friendly neighborhood councilman". We can make this happen. On May 7, 2013 I ask for your prayers, support and vote as we begin the process of building safer, better, and stronger communities in Ward 4 and in Jackson.
